Editor (Children’s Board Books, Novelty and Repackaging), Little Tiger Press

Little Tiger Press is looking for a meticulous, conscientious and resourceful editor to curate and oversee its burgeoning backlist. 

You will be organised, keen-eyed, creative and confident. 

You will need to be able to work on several projects simultaneously, manage a busy workload and work well both independently, and within a team. 

Key duties:

  • Oversee and project manage a variety of titles

  • Write lively, age-appropriate copy for book covers and content

  • Liaise with designers, editors, sales teams, production staff and external clients to schedule and develop re-use projects

  • Proofread material at all appropriate stages of production, ensuring total accuracy

  • Create new series from our extensive backlist catalogue

  • Maintain key departmental databases, plus miscellaneous administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department

This role is perfect for a children's book enthusiast looking to segue into an editorial role. You may be a Junior Editor looking to take the next step in your career, a Production Controller or Sales Executive keen to transition into a creative role, or a candidate with excellent administrative skills looking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 

Experience of working within a publishing house or comparable environment is preferred. 

Prior experience working with InDesign would be beneficial, but is not imperative.
